Rebecca Yemo


Rebecca Yemo is a Research Consultant with the University of Massachusetts Boston's Department of Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. She also works as a Research and Policy Analyst with the Massachusetts Business Roundtable. Her research interests include international human rights law and policy; the role of international organizations in advancing human rights; and human rights and human security in Africa. Rebecca has also worked with organizations in the USA and Ghana that address women’s rights, migrant rights, digital rights, and diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workforce. Rebecca is a James Buchanan Fellow with the Mercatus Center at George Mason University. She is also a research fellow with the Institute for Research and Policy Integration in Africa (IRPIA). Rebecca earned a PhD in Global Governance and Human Security at the University of Massachusetts Boston; an MA in Global Governance and Human Security from the University of Massachusetts Boston; a Master of International Studies from North Carolina State University; and a Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics and Spanish from the University of Ghana.
